Gabriel’s Trumpets

Tom and I have heard so many raves about how fun it was to walk down Fillmore Street behind a Trio of Trumpets. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was for me to walk down the aisle to Trumpet Voluntary... You sounded wonderful and the Fanfare as we walked into the Flood Mansion was such an extravagant touch. Thank you again for making our wedding so memorable.

Thank you for taking part in the Gala Reopening of Davies Symphony Hall. You were terrific from beginning to end and I was glad you were with us as part of such an historic occasion.

Santa Synergy
There was a perfect convergence of Youth and Adult programming tonight when Santa appeared at one end of the library and Gabriel’s Trio played Christmas carols on great brassy horns at the other. The 600 plus people who came to sit on the lap of Santa had a wonderful performance to entertain them as they waited. The Trio announced their program in the Family Place with a rousing fanfare, and families trailed after them into the Fireplace Room, Pied-Piper-like. [The] Trumpets were mesmerizing, and it was a relaxed, Redwood City-style classical family program with requests and dancing to Nutcracker numbers.
My favorite quotes from fans:
From an adult:  “I loved the music, and I loved watching the kids!”
From an under-5-year-old (when asked for a song request), “I want to see Santa.”

I certainly enjoyed working with you at Ron and
Tiffany’s wedding in Sacramento last weekend. Today I was telling another bride about the Trumpets playing as the bride and her father started down the aisle and I got goose bumps! That was so great! You did a beautiful job, too, in leading the processional to the State Capitol Rotunda. Your Trumpets were really the “Icing on the Cake”.

Dear Franklin & Gabriel's Trio,
Thank you so much for playing at the Heart of Marin Awards Ceremony.
The audience loved you, and we can't imagine having put on the event without your special flair!
It was wonderful meeting you all, and I look forward to working with you in the future!
Holly Bearden, for CEO Linda Davis, Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership of Marin

Would you please pass along to the rest of Gabriel's Trio my compliments on your performance last night. So many people came up to me, including Melinda Lightfoot, the program director of the Sanchez Art Center, to say they enjoyed your playing and how much it added to the success of the art opening. Joyce Savre, one of our artists, emailed me this morning to say, "Gabriel's Trio was icing on the cake and the egg as well. Talk about elevating the scene!!!!"
You really did make the evening special. Bravo!!!!!

I had to let you know that you guys were simply magnificent. Our guests went nuts over the trumpets, which added the most regal and wonderful flavor to our wedding. One of my favorite parts was before the ceremony, when I was upstairs waiting for things to begin, and I heard you rehearsing the wedding march. I got chills down my spine as I sat and listened! So wonderful.

Thank you for a beautiful evening. Everyone complimented us on the music. All age groups thought you were great. You certainly made a hit with my mother-in-law. I hope you will be available soon for our other daughter’s wedding.
The Millers

I attended the last Gaskell ball in December (what a great delight it was!) and am planning to partake in the upcoming one in February.
I was truly impressed with the elegance of the event as well as the artistic level of music by The Brassworks.

On behalf of the Viennese Ball Committee, I would like to thank Brassworks for providing the music for the Waltz Room at this year's Viennese Ball. The attendees I spoke with all said that they enjoyed having fabulous, dance-able music - definitely due to Brassworks's excellent playing.

Franklin, I wanted to thank you again for Brassworks' wonderful performance at our Saturday evening Vintage Ballroom Dance at the San Francisco Free Folk Festival. The band played brilliantly and the guests danced happily all evening.
I know the SFFFF Committee was very happy and very honored to have the Brassworks as our evening dance band and it was so nice to see so many of the Brassworks/Gaskells/PEERS crowd show up for both the Festival and the dance.
Cathleen Myers, PEERS

On behalf of the Museum’s Board of Directors, I would like to thank you and the Brassworks for your outstanding contribution to our Admiral Farragut Birthday Ball. I have heard nothing but favorable comments about the event, and the beautiful music you provided was a large part of our success. The enthusiasm of the musicians, dance master, and dancers helped to bring about an air of patriotic celebration. We look forward to working with Brassworks again on future events. Once again, many thanks for a wonderful performance!
